Today there was a window-washer type platform hanging on the Washington blvd. side of the David Whitney. The sign said Henneman and Lowe Building Restoration.

Yes, but did you see any J.C. Beal folks there in white hard hats with blueprints?

The Whitney Building is is pretty good shape, so they won't need to do that much to restore it.

But that is good news!!

According to Allan at UrbanPlanet.org, the façade was in danger of collapse so the owners are taking steps to stabilize it. Apparently, there are no other plans for the Whitney at this time.
