"Otherwise, we'll throw out the whole bunch. Everyone. And start over. It couldn't be any worse."

Well that was pretty dumb. Does he really think that throwing everyone out of office is going to result in anyone better coming in?

Every editorial by any of the Crains, especially Keith, is simplistic, dopey twaddle. This one carries on that tradition with force.

"From everything I heard about the conference this year, everybody is fed up with our politicans and our political system."

Unlike, say, since forever. Not to mention he doesn't explain what a "politiCAN" is.

"If only we could get rid of the partisan politics, we actually might be able to get something done in Lansing and Washington and city halls across our state."

Having more than one political party leads to partisan politics. Yes, a one-party state would solve that rather fast, as Kim Jong Il, Mao, Mussolini, Castro, etc. proved. Is he aware that's what he's essentially suggesting?

It gets worse from there. Brilliant as ever, Keith.

Gee, we could even limit the number of terms an individual legislator is eligible to serve!
