I think we should return the river to agricultural or industrial use.

I envision a high-speed freeway lacing the riverfront, with a sports stadium at every exit.

I'm trying to locate some sort of map that shows where the different events will be- has anyone come across something like that? Didn't see one on their website (or maybe I missed it?)

EDIT: Yep I missed it. There's 3 page PDF file on the official website. detnews.com has something small also.

There's a map and event guide on the Free Press web page.

What a absolutely beautiful day for the riverfront! We just spent over two hours walking around, and it was just wonderful to see so many people just enjoying the city and the beautiful day. The carousel is gorgeous, and I love the glass map of the seaway.

I walked down the riverwalk at lunch, too.

I stopped to watch some of the people doing stunts on their personal watercraft in front of the Wintergarden. The guy whose craft was painted like a clownfish (aka Nemo) was a big hit with the kids.
