Very promising. Do they still call HIllcrest, Lannoo, Lafontaine, and Canyon as "Cop Land"?

No "Copper Canyon" as it was also called has become mostly devoid of Police and Fire city employees since the mid 1990's when the republican controlled state legislature and Governor Engler eliminated residency restrictions.

Many police and fire employees used to live in the far east side in East English Village, as well as the Cornerstone Village (new name) area from Cadieux to Moross.

One other note about Moross... on an old thread about Detroit streets it was determined that Moross is a boulevard with the widest islands in the city. No other boulevard can handle 3 cars lined up along the island between the eastbound and westbound lanes (although 8 Mile Rd. is a possible exception).

So this landscaping covers a lot of area.

Don't forget about Mound Rd. It has a wide Blvd as well.

Good point Norwalk. Although I think that one was wide for the possibility of being a future freeway route (similar to how James Couzens Hwy became the future Lodge Fwy out beyond Wyoming). Although no freeway will ever likely be built along the Mound Rd. Corridor.

Thanks for clearing those issues up, Gistok, about Conerstone Village (where are the signs?), all this time I thought that it was called "Cop Land" because of the popularity of policeman and firefighters who live in the area. I can say this much, though. Whoever is in a position to buy a house in that area, DO IT! Because there are a LOT of foreclosures out there for cheap! And to top it off, you're right @ the GP borders! Now, to some, that's a blessing waiting to happen!
