Its depends on what your looking for. I am not aware of any large events just several smallish parties going on. Most bars are going to be busy with the wings in town tonight also. |

Danny's right. Hundreds of thousands shots of gunfire will be going off all over Detroit on New Year's. |

Is the midnight gunfire as prominent is other cities and states as it is here? It seemed worse tonight than it has been the last few years - maybe because it's so warm out. |

That's funny because I didn't think there was nearly as much gunfire in my neighborhood (warrendale) as in previous years. |

Phoenix used to have a serious problem with lead rain. They've since cracked down on it. It's now a felony in Arizona to discharge a firearm into the air. It's really just an astonishingly stupid variant of Russian roulette. I read recently that the bullets can go two miles up and hit ground at 300-700 fps. |

Flint! Gunshots at midnight are par for the course. A few people are always injured from stray bullets. |

I made a dash around 12:15 a.m. from Honest John's to the Old Miami, and it sounded like a war zone. Someone's car in front of the Old Miami had a huge hole in the driver's window where it was hit by a shotgun shell. Nice. Even yesterday the gunfire continued throughout the day. I am so over that crap. Why do they do it? |
