I'm planning a team outing and I was wondering if there an arcade in Detroit that has food, drinks as well as games such as pool tables, basket ball court, bumper cars etc. Kinda like Dave and Busters. The Centaur bar has pool tables but that's about all I could come up with. Any ideas? |

Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum http://www.marvin3m.com/ GameWorks http://www.gameworks.com Both are not directly in Detroit, though (Message edited by nainrouge on January 18, 2007) |

The only arcade I know of in the inner-city area is Hamtramck Arcade & Cafe on Conant. I've never actually been there. They do not serve liquor, but walk a block in any direction in Hamtramck and you'll find a place that does. |

Bibs try feather bowling at Cadieux Cafe, Fifth Avenue for playing pool, Whirylball West for whirlyball or Garden Bowl for bowling. |

The definition of arcade has changed over the years. The original use was for a arched corridor with openings at both ends. The Bar Bar is an arcade that conforms to the old definition. They have entrances onto two different streets at both ends of the building. Just like the the original definition of casino didn't have anything to do with gambling, the word arcade at one time had nothing to do with video games. |

There used to be a place on Warren near Mack on the eastside years ago. The name escapes me. They had a ton of arcade games and great pizza. I remember going there as a kid. I'm not sure if it is still around any more. |
