Age 75. January 31, 2007 of Grosse Ile. Judge Cahalan served citizens of Wayne County's 33rd Circuit Court for 32 years. He is survived by his wife Valina; his children Leo, Carol, Beth (Ken) Kwiat, and David (Mary Frances Brown). Also leaves six grandchildren Lee, Mary, Maggie, Meg, Will, and Jack; his sisters Ann (Tom) Mercier and Ursula (John) Connors; his brother John C. Cahalan, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In state at the Trenton Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton, Saturday 3:30-7 p.m., Sunday 12-5 p.m. and Monday 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 21599 Parke Lane, Grosse Ile, until Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. An expression of sympathy may be made to the I.H.M. Sorry to read this obit. "Judge Leo" was one of the really good judges, good guy, considerate, listened to both sides, etc. He will be missed on the bench.
