i discovered the site last week and love it because i am a history buff.
i only lived in detroit for 2 years, from 1948 until 1950 when my folks moved from coplin & jefferson (next to the fire station) to roseville (frazho & gratiot).
i did work in the city for national bank of detroit from 1965 (part-time while still a junior at harper woods notre dame) until 1982 when mortgage operations were moved to troy at crooks (no comments required) & the i-75 exit, north of long lake.
from 1972 until 1995 i worked in the residential appraisal department and the east side was part of my territory covered. i got to see many of these neighborhoods go from respectable to uninhabitable.. such a shame.

My grandparents lived on Lawn, just off of Frazho, many moons ago. Had a huge lot behind the old Farmer Jacks. At least it seemed huge when I was little.

29 years at 17 and Hayes boy have you seen some changes around there!

My sister moved to 17 and hayes around 1977, she lives on Cheldon on the South side of 17, just east of Hayes
