Did any of you old timers swim at Lipke pool on Van Dyke just north of 7 Mile when you were kids? I used to go almost every day. Caught one heck of a case of athletes foot there. Yes, there was athletes foot then. When I drive by I still see the locker rooms but no pool. |

Yep, I was at 20293 Conley, by Farwell Field, which had everything but a pool. So mom would truck me over to there a few times a summer. I shudder to think of the water's contents after a weekend of kids. =( |

And yes, I once swam a swim practice in Spokane with a turd in the diving well. We didn't discover it until near the end of practice. Nobody got sick. One guy ate it because he thought it was just a candy bar. |
