They probably want to discuss how secure our borders are. Or maybe they want to put a fence down the middle of the Detroit river. Starting at Chicago and ending in the Atlantic ocean. Sounds like a great idea :-) Better idea, since the Mongols are longer in the real estate business, they should buy the great wall of China and have it moved over here.

I'm wondering what they could possibly have to talk about in Detroit.

Er, it's Jackson, not Detroit. Same question applies though.

Lilpup, OK, West Bloomfield, closer still.

I really am curious why they're bothering with Michigan at all. I was under the impression they'd long ago written off the whole state. I could be wrong. Are there any theories about the reason for this visit?

Rove's are "Lincoln Day Dinners" - GOP fundraisers - Oakland County, Jackson County

Ashcroft is speaking WMU's College Republicans (voted "Best Chapter" in 2006 by the College Republican National Committee)

trying to make inroads - haven't you notice the sudden preponderance of freepers here?

Thanks for the research, Lilpup.

Seems like an "any port in a storm" move to me.
