Bullet, never mind the occasional snide comment from a few hardheads. I'm enjoying the dickens out of your photos.

Once again, a very accurate slice of life.

The pack of dogs is really a common slum sight.

I'm guessing all of those were taken on the near east side?

I just made the dogs my screen saver -- if you don't mind.

That dog on the left, thats mine... I wondered what happened to old Scrappy-Doo... looks like he isn't fighting as much as he used to.

The dogs were in a pack of six, at E.G. Blvd. and Frontenac.

Good shots Fareastsider. It’s nice to see some of the old houses around town that haven’t died, along with the birth of the new. I have a collection of old slides from Detroit during the early forties that I would like to post, but I'm not sure what the best way is to post them. They are of the Detroit Christmas Day parade and just some random buildings around town. Any help out there?

is the (former) Martha Washington theatre at 10315 Jos. Campau, later renamed the Campau--it's been showing the salvation matinee for decades now

The Motor Cities Automotive Heritage Area's efforts are finally paying off--the gang bangers spelled "Cadillac" correctly

Nice! I sure like the "witch's hat" roof on that turret on the Trumbull/Alexandrine shot. Thanks, Fareastsider!

Fareastsider, it's AMAZING how great minds DO think alike. I was coming home from class and I coursed through Woodbridge and the Old Jeffries projects this past Saturday and took some pix with my camera/video phone. I even did a very small 360-ish clip of Wilbur Wright/The Old DSA on Rosa Parks and Canfield. I'll post 'em her ASAP. BTW, I even got a shot or two of the Courtyard in the new Woodbridge area.

Nice pics! I love 'em!

Wow, the bar has been set incredibly low if you folks really do find these photos to be of high quality or interesting subject matter.

And SCS, do you really need to see photos of dilapidated buildings to know that there are dilapidated buildings in Detroit? News flash, there are 30,000 - 50,000 of them. This "project" is kinda like driving through Troy and taking pictures of strip malls and beige homes built in 1994.

Here are more uninteresting and incredibly low quality snap shots of boring buildings in Detroit. I hate them, and I hope you do too:
