Macomb County residents tend to have just the right amount of marbling. Oakland County tends to work out too much and is rather tough to eat.

I was raised both macomb county(eastpointe) and detroit near GP. But its boring(to me) so i left and never came back when I graduated HS. I only head that way for family who all live in macomb county originally lower east, now they all live in the hall road corridor.

That's a pretty broad question considering geography and the topic of this forum. You should expect a bloated sum.

But, anyway, yeah, former Macomb County resident here.

I went to both south and center and prefered the "talent" watching at center campus, south had too much warrentucky/roachville folk. But as a college I like the administration and the Professors better than OCC.

Not the Eminem type, sorry. But he was an Abe! It's a pickup line I've used often. Pathetic?

Lincoln was too busy fending off Center Line and Fitzgerald. Everyone vied to be our rival ;-)

Bobj - Agreed! Hall Rd is so congested all the time! Way overbuilt in my opinion. Anyone been shopping out there lately? Years ago I did a comparison between Penney's in Warren and Penney's at Lakeside. Prices were 20% higher...never shopped there again unless absolutely necessary.

I went to MCC south. The instructors weren't bad, but the curriculum was too drawn out. Unnecessary classes that should've been a couple of chapters in another class.

nope I just think that Warren all they seem to care about is north of 696 and they seem to forget about south of it they could have built downtown warren in the south I think that would have helped the neighborhood alot

Yeah, I agree with you that there needs to be greater investment in the South end. But you can't contrive a downtown anywhere you "put it".

Born and raised in Chesterfield Twp. I liked it a lot out there though it sucks more now that the area has grown poorly but there are some strengths out here. I moved to Anchorville a few months ago and am now 1/4 mile past the county line. Graduated from Anchor Bay in 99 and got a degree from Macomb in 03. I think Macomb was a great school for the money. Macomb's facilities and teachers were great. I would say that there are many strengths Macomb has over Wayne at a fraction of the cost.

Born and raised in Chesterfield Twp. back when it was horse farms and wetlands/marshes. My wife was born and raised in Sterling Heights. I'm an alumni of LCN. She's a Utica Stevenson alumnus. We went to college in Minneapolis and now live in Detroit. We don't live there any more so that tells you a lot about what we think of Macomb Co.

When we visit family it just seems like the place keeps getting worse and worse as far as sprawl goes. Hall Rd. has been horrible for years (as long as I can remember) and despite all the expansions has never gotten better. That mall will just make things way worse than they already are. I don't know why anyone ventures to that road. You can find the same stores and restaurants just about anywhere in SE Michigan (except for Detroit of course).

Grew up at 7 mile and Van dyke. Lived for 13 years in Center Line (Biggest city in Warren!) Moved to Richmond for a little bit (way too country for me) and now reside around 21 mile and Hayes. Yes, Hall Rd. sucks big time. I travel to Pontiac around 6:30 in the morning, and come back starting at 5, get home by 6 or so. :-)

No not where the houses were im sure it is a backed up drain. probably full of debris and logs. Most places along the lake are likely to suffer the way they did. At the lake you are where all of the water is going to continue to go. Plus the rain yesterday was intense. I have never seen it flood like that out here.

Oakland County is where the action is; where the movers and shakers are. Macomb county seems more laid back. People have businesses and jobs, but not world-changing occupations like the ones headquartered in Oakland or Wayne. Even Macomb's entertainment scene is lame, and I've tried most of the venues over there. I'll take one bar in Royal Oak over ten bars in Macomb. The people in Oakland just seem more motivated. What am I saying? Macomb just isn't for everybody, but the ones there enjoy it and seem to do well. I prefer the action elsewhere.
