Well, the subject line may be a tad misleading, but has anyone else noticed that there are now lights on the outside of the building (facing Second). Sure, it could just be the parking lot guy, but he sure hasn't done much work to keep up the lot, one of the worst downtown, so who knows? Today lights on the side, tomorrow a renovated hotel! haha Baby steps. :-)

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of ya, 313. I snapped some and will post when I get home from work. Really not that impressive, though. Still, an improvement.

Photos of the lights on the Fort-Shelby. Not that impressive, really, though I also got some pretty spooky-ass photos of it. Spectre-riffic!

Let's hope the construction doesn't kill the hawk that lives in there. Neighbors are worried. It needs to be moved.

They will need a chain saw to cut down some of those trees on the roof.

It's very exciting to see this finally happen. I look at that empty building every night, it will be great to see something besides the progression of graffiti.

It's going to be a really long tunnel to get from a renovated Pick-Fort Shelby to the GCP garage.

(I'm assuming that you are actually referring to the Broderick Tower parking.)

Hold on, I am sure the GCP response was a mixup as it is April 2nd now and the jokes have stoped, however, can someone confirm that there will be one for the Ft. Shelby or not?

The 2001 plans that fell through called for a parking deck to be built next to the building.

Oldredford, are you a Local 4, News or Freep reporter? Unless you work at the Anchor or Comerica, there's not much else there.
