Doesn't look like anyone is worried about money does it? It surprises me because Michigan's economy is pretty bad right now...shows me where the priorities are with a lot of individuals.

well, a couple of things to address that point...

first off, this is more of a blue-collar recession than anything...a lot of low-skilled labor people who made their living in manufacturing have a hard time finding comparable work or any work at all once they get laid off...white collar folks are a bit more versatile, and not as many white collar jobs have been lost in the first place...so it's not everyone who's hurting for money...

also, more people are coming downtown for entertainment than we're used to...all the new development plays a role...so did having a winning sports team last year that got many people who haven't come down to Detroit in years to give it another look and see all that's been happening

I think the increase in revenue is due to Windsor's smoking ban.

Anyone notice all the increased advertising? Especially billboards on the freeway. I thought they were having trouble getting people and folks finally realized the trickery of gambling, but I guess not.

Those casinos need to kiss my feet and sweeten the pot. I better get a pedicure.
